Cool Kuchar is the Real Hunter as Fatigued Mahan Falters in Final Match

The standings tightened up as the West Coast swing ends, next stop Palm Beach Florida.  We are now in the heart of the season as the Masters is now within sight, so the evidence is accumulating as to which players are likely, on the one hand, to have a good year or, on the other hand, to have a bad year.

Early Leader Seperating From The Rest Of The Pack?

It's early, the first lap is still three weeks away, so there are plenty of tournaments remaining; that said, thanks to Charlie Beljan's second place finish, the Witnits are off to such a strong start that it will now be very difficult for all but the top seven or eight teams to overtake them.  Although, apparently Brandt Snedeker has withdrawn from the WGC Match Play due to sore ribs.  And, the cap always comes into play, meaning that ultimately you need a strong overall team to win, so maybe there is still hope for the lagging teams.  But the early leaders tend to be in the mix all year long, and the teams further down the standings more often than not stay there unless one or more of their players gets on a major hot-streak.  As such, any of the teams currently in the bottom half of the standings will likely need a win within the next few weeks if they are going to be competitive.

Snedeker: An Elite Player?

Please check your teams. The PGATour website changed the format of their money lists so that surnames are read first, as a result "Tiger Woods" is now listed as "Woods, Tiger" on the money list. So, I had to manually re-enter all the teams on a new spreadsheet.
