Grey Geese Goose The Field

Firstly, we have had almost 5000 page views over the year; therefore, it appears that most everyone took advantage of the blog to keep track of their team.  Thanks for your interest.

Well, Henrik Stenson is probably the greatest fifth round pick of all time, and it would seem that because of the current parody amongst tour players a team is going to need a Stensonian type of pick along with an overall strong team to contend in the future.  And, it doesn't matter where you pick partly due to the cap and partly to the fact that there is always a player picked in the middle rounds who has a career year and puts a team over the top.  The question then becomes: who will be this year's unheralded journeyman or up and coming young gun or resurgent fading star that comes out of nowhere and ends up near the top off the money list?  Figure that out and you just win this thing.

Down To The Wire

Things are close,  and it's going to come down to an elimination type scenario.  So it would appear that the team with the most players still playing would have the best chance to break away.  Will it be the Dead Yanks with Mickelson(6th), Stricker(8th), and Woodland(14th) who will hold on?  Or, will the Geese with Stenson(1st), Bradley(11th), Reed(47th), and Kokrak(64th) overtake the Yanks and claim top spot?   Are the Sun Devils, with DeLaet(5th), Haas(17th), Chappell(33rd), and Kirk(37th) all still having a reasonable chance to make the Tour Championship, the most likely to make a run?  However, Queen R.D. only has Kuchar(4th) and Horschel (22nd) in the top thirty, so they probably a need a win because Poulter(52nd) and Every(57th) look to be playing their last event.  And, Team MacKay appears destined for 5th with only Weekley(19th) and Steele(69th) still cashing pool eligible paychecks.  Should be interesting for the top four teams, and for the rest of us, the NFL starts tomorrow.
